We live in a world where fast-paced schedules and deadlines add unnecessary stress to our day-to-day lives. It’s this very stress that jeopardizes our quality of life and long-term health and wellness. At Wellgate, we believe “self-care” is the best form of health care.
As adults, we make approximately 35,000 decisions each day, decisions greatly influenced by the people in our lives and the places we frequently visit. With that in mind, we focus our efforts on creating an environment fostering good lifestyle choices and enjoyment that opens the doors to a better quality of life ... for as long as possible.
Our goal, as an organization, is to support our members as they work towards living a healthier, happier, and more fulfilling life. Everything we do for our members is a reflection of our 4 pillars: fitness, nutrition, mindset and community.
Wellgate is more than just a club - it’s a community of active individuals looking to enjoy a higher quality of life. As a result, our company policies, procedures and service offerings come together to create a physical and social environment designed to cultivate the mind and heart.
Each month we offer a wide variety of programs, workshops and events that give our members and staff an opportunity to connect, network and socialize.
WE DELIVER EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCES EVERY DAY
FITNESS, NUTRITION, MINDSET AND COMMUNITY
For most people, improving one's "fitness" means trying to better one's overall health and wellness. This may mean different things to different people. For one person it might mean improving their ability to play with their grandkids. For another it might mean improving their ability to perform a certain sport. Regardless, fitness means more than just exercise. At Wellgate our goal is to help our members improve several aspects of their life - physical, mental and emotional - and offer an environment where they can proactively improve their quality of life.
Some things you never outgrow - like the need for nutritious food and good eating habits. Good nutrition is important at every stage of life, from infancy through late adulthood. Although the basics of a balanced diet remain the same regardless of age, individual nutritional needs change as you grow older. This is especially true when combined with regular physical activity and exercise.
75% of us will eventually eat ourselves into a hospital. Heart disease, obesity, diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis and other diet related ailments are especially impactful to mature adults. Whether you are 40 or 85, your food choices will affect your overall health in the years ahead.
The choices we make each day regarding what and when we eat can make a significant difference when it comes to our overall health and wellness. In fact, the risk for certain diseases associated with aging such as heart disease, osteoporosis and diabetes can be reduced with a lifestyle that includes healthy eating alone. Good nutrition can also help in the treatment and recovery from illness. While healthy living can’t turn back the clock, it can help you feel good longer.
At Wellgate we understand the importance of good nutrition and mindful eating as a way to improve one's quality of life. All it takes are small changes that become life long habits. We are here to provide education and guidance proven to produce long lasting results!
